Self Image Poem

I walk into the room I look into your eyes I smile you smile I say don't worry You look so tired This world has beat you down Overwhelmed your mind The brink of depression I tell you it will be fine You are still alive Years of worry and stress It shows in the wrinkles Of days that have gone past Things will get better You have taken a new step You have a new attitude And not afraid of death I turn to walk out the room I stop in the doorway Look back over my shoulder And smile to the mirror
